All Things Autumn Home Tour!
Welcome to our "All Things Autumn" Home Tour Blog Hop!
I have teamed up with some of the most creative and talented ladies for a glimpse of our homes all decorated for the Fall Season! At the end of my home tour, you will find their names and links to follow! Stay awhile and Join in the Fun!
My Entryway is part of my living room and leads straight into my Farmhouse Kitchen.
This year I incorporated some blue tones into my Fall Decor. For my Entryway Fall display, I added a couple of blue tone vases that I already had and an area runner rug with touches of blue tones, as well. I added a gold framed round mirror (Home Goods) that will be going back over my husbands bureau as soon I change over to my Christmas Decor. I have to mention that I did not buy any new pumpkins for my inside Fall decorating. I created a whole new look this year by changing around pumpkins to make different looks in my living spaces. This new wreath hanging on my door, is for the outside, of course! . . . Does that count???
Opposite our Entryway, from our front door, is our Living Room! It's one small step to the right off of my entryway area rug! The Fall touches that I have incorporated into my living room, add up to just plain old comfort! Our home is very small and now that our kids are grown and on their own, I kept the Fall Decor to a minimum. And I actually love it! I have a few pumpkins scattered here and there as you will see throughout the rest of my tour. I wasn't planning on adding any Coastal Decor to my Fall theme, it just kind went in that direction. One of the Coastal items that I included in my Living Room, was this amber vase with the rope handle as the center piece on my coffee table. I found this orange and white striped pillow and this fall wreath pillow to coordinate with my Coastal Cottage Theme. I had the blue striped pillow with fringed edges that I wanted to add, opposite of my blue glass jug lamp, to give the room some color balance.
Another Coastal style item that I incorporated into my Decor, is this white Crab Trap Style Lantern that my son had given to me a couple of years ago for my birthday. The amber vase on my coffee table, I also had for a few years. There is one thing that I have realized over the past couple of years . . And that is, if you love to decorate, you don't always have to buy, buy, buy every time you want to create a new look. I like the fact that I have accumulated things over the years that I can make come to life over and over again.
I spy a little tan velvet pumpkin! Do you see it?!?
Below, is this odd space between my Living Room and Kitchen. The idea for this long back wall that connects my Kitchen to my Living Room, was to keep it all coordinating. I took down a printed picture that was over my hanging kitchen hook rack and replaced it with this textured tin arch, framed with wood. This way, I was able to hang this fall colored botanical picture next to it. It wouldn't have looked right to have two prints next to each other that didn't match. Now everything looks cohesive!
I replaced some ceramic mugs on my kitchen hook rack, with a couple of coppers mugs,
for the Fall Season.
I kept this Kitchen Vignette Display, simple as well. I already had the pumpkins and almost everything else you see here, except for a few new items, like this cute little ceramic white rooster and this little herb framed picture. They are both from Home Goods, so you know they were very inexspensive! Oh and the white metal cake stand that was a summer clearance purchase from Pier 1 Imports. Bargain!
Hints of Gold and/or Copper are perfect accents to add to your home, during the Fall Season!
Does anyone ever place the same Fall Decor in the same spot year after year? Well, that is the case for me, just in this one section of my kitchen you see Below. The berries go on the round cutting board over my stove and the white round plate on the wall with the gold trim and Log Cabin scene etched in it, replaces my seasonal blue striped summer plate that was hanging there for the Summer. This gold lined plate is very special to me, since my Mom handed it down to me with 2 other smaller plates. I remember, she had them displayed in our childhood home ever since I was little. My little home Treasures!
